AioCare is a professional system to monitor pulmonary diseases, consisting of a portable spirometer connected to a smartphone app and an online panel to access the results. The device enables a full spirometry test to be conducted in a doctor’s office, including a bronchial challenge test.
Limited access to specialist doctors and to appropriate medical equipment means that nearly 2/3 of patients are incorrectly diagnosed at the first symptoms of pulmonary disease. AioCare solves this problem by giving any doctor access to the highest quality diagnostic device. With AioCare you can perform spirometry tests and monitor your patients remotely, create patient files, perform diagnostics, and complete records will be available both on your smartphone and in a convenient panel on your computer screen. Test results can be automatically added to electronic medical records.
A cutting edge, class IIa medical device (EU), certified by the notified body TUV Nord. Validated by an observational study in a sample of 80 patients.
A small, portable device that can be taken anywhere. Safety tested by UL. Easy to use and inexpensive. Intuitive interface for creating patient records automatically saves test results, enables statistical analysis and management of the disease history.
Accuracy of test results identical to those conducted with the medical equipment available at medical centres.
GDPR compliant. Transmitted data is secured by the SSL protocol used in banking. Data is entirely stored in the certified Microsoft Azure cloud. We have appointed a Data Protection Officer (for EU market) who ensures security of our procedures and systems.
We have developed the first smartphone app module to detect CODP based on the global GOLD guidelines and in cooperation with the medical staff of the Medical University of Warsaw. The system compares the results of subsequent spirometry tests before and after the application of the medicine, and automatically analyses the level and reversibility of obstruction. CODP diagnosis within 25 minutes.
An electronic journal enables the patient to avoid filling out tables by hand. The results of your AioCare patients are instantly visible on your panel. Additionally, you can easily access information about their medication and other symptoms (including night, day or physical activity induced symptoms). You can prescribe an individual asthma self-control plan.
We have compared the results of ventilation parameters (volume and flow) obtained from dynamic spirometry tests of patients with diagnosed and treated asthma or COPD, using both an AioCare device and a referential spirometer (CPFS/D, MGC), in a sample of 62 patients at the Institute of Tuberculosis and Lung Diseases in Warsaw. The tests have confirmed high diagnostic accuracy and equivalence of results recorded both on an AioCare device and a stationary hospital spirometer.
We have conducted a prospective observational study in 4 independent research centres. Eighty patients suffering from asthma received the AioCare device for home use. The study has confirmed that after a two-week trial period, patients mastered the use of the device and performed full spirometry tests at home.
Thanks to the National COPD Diagnosis Programme and Polpharma SA, more than 400 doctors have received the AioCare device and have been able to conduct numerous screening tests across Poland. By the end of 2018, more than 3,000 patients had been examined using the AioCare system, with symptoms of previously undiagnosed COPD detected in more than 18%.
Healthup has performed a periodical accuracy validation report on 100 randomly selected AioCare spirometers. The protocol of measurement was based on the Annex C of ISO 26782:2009 norm. Mean absolute error and percentage error was calculated for FEV1, FEV6 and FVC parameters for each tested waveform C1-C11. The results showed that 88% of all volume parameters readings were measured with percentage error less than 1%. The mean percentage error equaled 0.53 (95%CI: 0.51-0.54). All devices met ATS/ERS 2019 accuracy criteria with the maximum error of 2,3%.
The AioCare system is available in two versions. AioCare Doctor Basic app allows you to perform high-quality lung function measurement and securely store the health data in an offline fashion on a mobile device. AioCare Doctor Plus app is an enhanced version with advanced spirometry features, online data access, live patient monitoring, secure online data storage, and therapy planning tools.
